Not only as an exhibition planner (this is one of my activities in the club), but also as an exhibitor, we were once again present at the Born2Brick exhibition in the foyer of the theatre in Rüsselsheim. Again and again a beautiful exhibition which is gladly accepted by the visitors. I like to talk with them about my and their models, the building ideas, how to transport the models and much more.
This year we have decided to exhibit the three churches. It was the premiere for the Ringkirche. I also infected my wife with the LEGO virus and she builds her own models. This year she has shown Dori as a mosaic and a french fry shop.
But not only us, but over 30 other exhibitors were on site and enriched the exhibition with their models for two days. Very different themes were shown. From Star Wars and Ewoks, to Space, Technology, a whole micro-city, a railway complex with a big monorail, Friends and many more. The King of Bricks, Jörg Freitag, was also there with his show. The game table with 12,000 red 2×4 bricks was constantly visited; and it wasn’t just the little ones who built there;-).
The Saturday evening, after the last guest had left, was then used to eat and drink together, to get to know each other and to talk.
The exhibition was a complete success. More than 1000 visitors were counted.
We’ll see you again next year, that’s for sure!
And now some pictures from the exhibition:
