The Monopteros on the Neroberg, the local mountain of Wiesbaden, was designed by Phillip Hoffman. The columns on which the dome rests used to carry the gas lamps along Wilhelmstrasse.
This is my first LEGO® large model. After visiting a LEGO traveling exhibition in Wiesbaden, I also wanted to build such models. I chose the Monopteros. I wanted to build something round out of square bricks and this building was just right. By the way, the planning of the dome was done with paper, compass and lint. I do not use computer programs to design my models.
